‘Apocalyptic’ devastation in Puerto Rico, and little help in sight

( CNN) Hurricane Maria flogged Puerto Rico with Irma-level winds, drenched small island developing with Harvey-level flooding, paralyzed communications, devastated builds and damaged a dam that articulates downstream citizens at risk of misfortune.

But help has is slowly to come to communities where the misery is described as “apocalyptic, ” officials and residents argue.

Gov. Ricardo Rossello said the island faces a humanitarian crisis. He counselled Congress to approve a commensurate expedite container as the US commonwealth, already hammered by a lengthened economic crisis, tries to get back on its feet.
