Life Is About Being Present

Kyle Johnson

We’re all searching for propose, all searching for answers, all searching for the resources necessary to make sense of the directions we’re march, the bodies we’re inhabiting, the cheeks we’re caressing. We’re all yearning to understand, to know, to experience, to attain who we are and the direction we’re pate. We’re all trying to look both back and forward, while still focusing on the sand we’re standing on.

But what if life is really about good-for-nothing other than the present moment? The minutes, seconds, milliseconds of which you have domination? The decisions, the choices, the ability to breathe and sing and chuckle and places great importance on wherever you

I stumbled upon this quote a few weeks ago: So simple. So profound. It means that no matter where you walk , no matter what’s on your brain , no matter the place or age or circumstance–you are in the present moment. Nothing more , nothing less.

Yes, you can look back to what happened. Yes, you can reach ahead and fantasy for the future. But where you are is now. Right now.

And what if you celebrated that?

What if you stopped looking back to where you’ve failed or at what you lost, and instead danced with exhilaration about where your paws are embed? What if you cease upsetting over what hasn’t happened in there, trying to make sense of where your relationships are honcho or what’s to come next, and instead just kissed? Instead, really smiled? Instead, really focused on what you control–the glee, the hope, the passion, the handout of what you cannot change.

What if instead of always looking at what you’re doing next, busying your memory with task after act, purpose after goal, you took a hour to detect proud about the dirt you’re standing on? What if instead of caring for more, you were simply appreciative for what you have?

What if instead of moving on autopilot, squinting at the road onward, you lived in the present moment? Watching the road, the signs, the curves as they came, without upsetting if you were ready for them?

What if instead of living to change yesterday, or living for tomorrow, you lived for today?

Life is about being present. It’s about enjoying in where you are and what you have, and taken due note of what’s around you. It’s about fete, breathing, rather than ever searching for the next act, the next entry or person to fill your emptiness.

Life is about absorbing. About sensation. About existing. About determining where you fit and realizing the style your life reveals, on both both good and bad days.

Life is about is slowing. Being still. Find your neighbourhood in the universe and being okay with that plaza, even when it’s disheartening or exhausting or beautiful or disorient or somewhere in-between .

Life is about being present. About being right here.
So retire looking back, gazing up, look forward. And celebrate.
