WATCH: Welsh rugby player bitten by lion in South Africa

A Welsh international rugby player was forced to sit out a competition in South africans after he was bitten by a lion.

Scott Baldwin was in the African commonwealth this weekend because his Swansea-based Pro 14 conference golf-club Ospreys were scheduled to play the South African team, the Cheetahs, on Friday.

However, a stop at a neighbourhood wildlife stockpile the day before to a damp on his plans.

A video shared on Flutter supports Baldwin and other team members inspecting a pair of lions when at one point he reaches through metal bars to pet one of them. As he strokes the swine on the heading as it lays on the ground, it abruptly clicked up and grabbed his hand.
