A gunman moved a Las Vegas concert into a killing field Sunday night, assassinating at least 50 parties and injuring more than 200 others in the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.
The suspect, who was killed, was identified as 64 -year-old Stephen Paddock, a regional inhabitant. Approvals also said they were “confident” Paddock’s roommate, Marilou Danley, had been situated. Administrators previously described Danley as a person of interest.

Officials did not immediately uncover a motive.
Authorities said one on-duty officer was in critical condition and another was wounded in the shooting. Two off-duty police officers attending the concert were killed.
President Donald Trump tweeted his condolences to the victims of the Las Vegas massacre, saying “My warmest condolences and pities to the victims and families of the horrid Las Vegas shooting. God bless you! “

The gunman, who shelled down on the concert from a chamber on the 32 nd storey of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, was killed by police.
Authorities first received calls about an active shooting at about 10:08 p.m.
Country music star Jason Aldean was acting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when the gunfire erupted.
Aldean was performing his last-place lyric of the nighttime. Initially, those in attendance told me they belief the seem was firecrackers. But as the kills continued, Aldean stopped singing and some concertgoers could be heard howling to each other to get down.
One witness told KSVN that he sounded “hundreds of shots.” The gunfire was quick and apparently confused with firecrackers.
“It chimed like a machine gun, ” one marketer told Fox News. “It sounded like more than one machine gun.”
Authorities said law enforcement crowded the hotel and killed the gunman in a office on the 32 nd storey. Answering men exerted an explosive manoeuvre to pressure the door open into the apartment to film Paddock dead, law enforcement officials told Fox News.
Country singer Jake Owen, who performed before Aldean, told Fox News the gunfire was “non-stop.”

“You couldn’t tell where it was coming from. It was thunderous and non-stop, ” he said.
Some concertgoers remained behind to offer help to those around them.
“Everybody I realized existing, I helped.” a concertgoer told Fox News.
Kodiak Yazzi, 36, said the music stopped temporarily and started up again before another round of sounds referred the musicians ducking for cover and fleeing the stage.

As the 40,000 followers in the crowd began to flee, Yazzi took consider and said he saw flashings of light-footed coming from the Mandalay Bay hotel tower high above.
“This was patently well-planned, they waited for a major, open air affair, and find a area facing it, ” retired FBI special negotiator and former national FBI spokesman John Iannarelli, who drove past the site of the occurrence exactly times before the shooting took place, told Fox News. “I can see the blink blue police glowings from my hotel window.”
Iannarelli was pointed out that the accused “probably had inside help” from the girlfriend in the office, doing her a “criminal accomplice.”
“They were well-trained, ” Iannarelli said , noting the use of automatic artilleries. “That’s not an easy task.”
Iannarelli was pointed out that the two ill-used “expensive guns and ammunition.”
“It is still too early to tell, ” Iannarelli said of what their motivation could have been. “Is this a lone wolf inspired by others? This is exactly the type of attack the U.S. has been fearing would come to our shores.”
Iannarelli noted that FBI and police are going to speak with every friend and related, and are imparting forensic review of the suspects’ information technology and telephones.
