A year on from Donald Trump’s inauguration maidens have taken to the streets once again, as a follow up to last year’s Women’s March.
Proving that this movement here to stay, thousands of women turned out to articulate their disfavor with the current government in Washington D.C. and just like last year, they have made some hilariously artistic and adroit signs.
It has been a tough year for many of these protesters, who have attended attacks on their reproduction freedoms, the rise of far-right actions and an immigration improve that is fractioning pedigrees as well as the society as a whole.
Despite this, the dissents took place peacefully and with an optimism and good humour that bodes well for future female activism. With more women now signing up for department than ever, and the rise of movements like the ‘Me Too’ campaign spotlighting the insidious mistreatment of women by powerful males in Hollywood, it seems that women’s articulates are being heard in the fight for a fairer, more equal society.
